Future Everything

This week Manchester has been hosting an art event, check out the various exhibitions on show here Future Everything

Taking part were 7 artists, each one very talented successful artists in their own right who are part of the collaborative

"Fresh from transforming an abandoned village, the contemporary art collective Agents of Change hit Manchester with spray cans, paint and perception-altering art on their minds...."

As our son is one of the artists we popped over to Manchester on the open day to see him,
The venue was called The Sharp Project just outside the city centre.
Four panels painted in just three days, the huge scale meant I couldn't get all four in one shot, the background is all silver the sun coming through the skylights made the black, white and silver images pop, making them look almost 3D.
My pictures just don't do the work justice, check out the Agents of Change site over the next few days where you can see more of this amazing work, also check out my husbands photo's for more pictures

Below a close up of the hand on the right, hundreds of prints of the artists own hand in black, white and silver.

A close up of the collaged squares, that makes up the hand on the left

Birthday card

One of the advantages of having sons who are artists is the wonderful array of interesting cards and presents we have received over the years.
This one is the latest card from our eldest son to my other half for his birthday yesterday.

and here it is opened out, its 13 W x 15 L, this card reflects his latest work, you can see more here on the exhibits link, 'Prologue' Nancy Victor Gallery
We will have to go and find just the right frame for it.
( Oh, and I did ask his permission before showing it on my blog :)
