More play

This canvas has been near my desk for months, the very first layer was gold leaf, and it sat as it was for ages, I then added a layer of tissue paper, and I have to tell you it has so many layers and reincarnations since, I just can't remember what I did to it. It has had paint, dye in lots of colours, bleach, polish, wax and UTEE embossing powder, I am leaving it alone for now, but have one more element to add, when I know what it is I will let you know :)

I had a "sit around" piece for ages too Carol. Sadly mine never flowered and I cut it up to make panels in a couple of covered books. I'll wait eagerly for the next instalment of it's evolution :)

I agree with everyone else it is beautiful already. Does it really need anything else? Do you hang your unfinished pieces up where you can look at them in passing or do you shove them in a box and just come across them now and again? Sorry, always so many questions.

Hi!
I just love pieces that evolve in this manner....except when I try to remember what it was that created the final effect! The density produced with with many applications of "stuff" is rich and mysterious...very, very beautiful.
