Lynda just asked a few questions, about the velvet and foil panel, so thought I would answer here,
The velvet is cotton, the paint or the foil didn't flake off, and what is lovely about painting over the foil if you pull the fabric slightly it crackles, (don't tell but I even rolled and twisted the fabric, to create a few more cracks and its still stuck fast:)
it can be sewn into really easily, no problem at all.
I usually knock back the colour of the foil I am using but the paint makes an interesting alternative,
