Padfolio,

This is the Padfolio I made for Dianne (Fairy Di) for a one to one swap, below is a close up of the front, it is made from the Pelmet Vilene I painted up a few weeks ago, that's all of it used up now, the rest went on postcards. Will have to paint up some more, but giving up the hand stitching on it, too much like hard work these days.

This is the Padfolio opened out, I couldn't get the colours right on this one, for some reason

Inside the Padfolio hand dyed cotton.I just need to go and buy a pad for it, I had a new pad with lovely Turquoise pages, but it was larger than normal, and wouldn't fit, and as I wiggled the card backing to see if I could squeeze it in, the pages came away from the covers, and fell on the floor, ah well.

Carol, Both the Padfolio and the Fabric Page are beautiful. Diannes colours - she will love them. I just love what you've done with the vilene and scrim and the handstitches just give it that little extra something. The art deco page is just amazing. You've done brilliantly on both counts.

Oh, I agree with what all the others have said Carol. Lovley work.
As you said The poppy is a real change from your usual style. That's what these swaps are doing for me too, making me think of different styles and ideas to try.

It turned out wonderfully with your painted fabric. Dianne is so lucky to get to see it in person. What a bummer on the pages falling all over the place.

It's lovely to see how it was finished - I've never made a book cover from pelmet vilene. Lovely colours and textures - you are so good at creating texture, Carol.

Hi there! I just wanted to make sure you're aware that your blog is in the queue for the Fiber Arts Bloggers ring, because you don't have any code up. I just sent you the code again--please let me know if you don't get it? I'd love to get you back in the ring. :)

The padfolio and the door challenge leave me feeling green with envy.
One query Carol...you mentioned the difficulty of hand stitching on the painted pelmet vilene:I;m guessing that's a similar weight to Timtex.......I tried using Topstitch machine needle AND hand work.........the latter worked the former NOT! Any tips??
