Remember the brown paper and bandage scrim sample I made a couple of weeks ago, the one I wasn't going to do any thing with !!!
Well I decided it wanted to be a book and so I tore the excess paper from around the scrim.
I then coloured the back much the same as the front, and used an A1 size watercolour paper to create the pages, I used a simple Pamphlet stitch.
I then made a machine wrapped cord, using a jade silk thread on the first two layers, and the last layer Madeira's FS Metallic thread.
Once wrapped around the book, I felt the cord was a bit too glitzy, so I have dunked it in some walnut ink, this will hopefully knock it back, as soon as it is dry I will post a picture

And how did you know I needed a new watercolour book and in this colour too!! :)
Seriously though, you've done the brown paper proud, it looks fantastic. You said you used A1 paper, so what size has the book folder/roll ended up?
