This little horror has driven me mad, I painted it weeks ago and tried stitching into it on the machine and it kept shredding my Madeira FS thread, that usually goes through everything, and what a nightmare to try and unpick, now I have photographed it I can see some more, where is that pin.
In the end I gave up the idea of stitch and just mounted them, (I made two) on to a 6" x 6" canvas, difficult to photograph with the miserable light today the flash keeps coming on..

Some pieces are just created to give headaches I think.
However the end effect is wonderful.
You know I love your textures and this one is fab.
Hah! Whoever first started talking about suffering for art must have been struggling with continually breaking threads. The work looks great without the stitching anyway.
Wow Carol this is fantastic. I thought the thread breaking was just me doing something wrong - nice to know it happens to experts as well :)
Glad you kept on going to the end as this is gorgeous.

I think these are lovely. Isn't it funny how some pieces can give such frustration but actually end up being little gems.
Carol it looks great without stitches anyway--maybe it was meant to be.
Who needs stitches anyway??
