I had a surprise in the post last week, all these colourful goodies, they were from my eldest son, when I phoned him to ask about them he said he was up in London and on his way to a gallery when he spotted these outside a fabric shop ready for the binmen, and thought of me, LOL
he knows me so well :)
This first picture are samples of jersey, very shiny funky coloured pvc, net and nylon,
This lot below are corduroy in many thicknesses and leather, suede and leatherette
I had a job fitting them in to the picture and some just got buried, hmm, now what can I make with them ?
The jersey will go well under the embellisher for a start.

That boy was raised right!
Good son. They will be fun to play with.
Wow Carol, what a pile! What a good son he is.
I hope you have a day spare to pull the bit off the paper Carol--but what a boy to think of you like that.
what a treasure trove Carol. I love things like that - colour all bunched together, but I'd be torn to take them apart, weird eh!
This is wonderful - you've certainly got him well trained!
Well!! I thought I had a good'n but he's a little starlet isn't he?
What a thoughtful son! How about snipping the fabrics small and trapping them under tulle?
Can't wait for the handsewn patchwork quilt!
Amazing! What a good haul. Look forward to seeing what you do with some of them.
Made me laugh to think that Jay thought of you when he saw a pile of castoffs Mrs Bag Lady *LOL*
what a wonderful son you have ~ my daughters were helping me put together the list of goodies I needed for Gwens class, its wonderful for our children they will always see the world through creative eyes even if they dont create themselves. Gwen was really inspiring and a very positive person to be around, I would really recommend a class with her if you ever have chance, Judy x
You've trained your son well! I hope mine turns out like that :)
Lucky you Carol. Having one artist son is good, having 2 like you is even better :))
The boy did well!!
