Home again Home again

I spent a very happy time last week visiting family, we were very lucky with the weather and were able to get out and about.
DH went back to work today and I am just about getting back to a routine.

One highlight of the trip, was passing a charity shop and spotting this embroidery in the window, I could only see a corner and a label saying
£2-50 As Seen, I wasn't even sure if the label belonged to the embroidery as things were all piled on top of one another,
When I asked to look at it the woman announced 'you have it as seen' which made me think for that price it must be in bits, I didn't mind I thought I could chop it up, but the only thing wrong is where someone has washed it and some of the colours have run, but I don't care, I love it

I had a job to take a picture as its 48" X 34" above is a close up

and this is half the design as it is mirror imaged, and below is the reverse side which is just as lovely, I was so excited at my find I think I need to get out more :)

Goodness me, lucky you! It's so lovely, and a total bargain. You'll enjoy ownership of this, whatever you decide to do with it.

Ooh you jammy old devil - and to think I go past that shop all the time. That'll teach me to keep my eyes open *LOL*

obviously a lot of us like to rescue ill-treated and unwanted textiles. I have a lovely tablecloth which just has a few faint tea stains on it, from a charity shop. Of course I never use tablecloths ...
