5th Layer

As I was out last night and all today, I did not have time to post this yesterday, at this stage I would normally start building light layers of Gold-finger, but decided on one of the pieces to put a thin layer of Gold Interference Medium, all over, it lightened it quite a bit, and I decided it needed a contrast I had some Teal Dye-na-flow on the desk so dropped some randomly and scrubbed it in with a fat brush, even though I say it myself its gorgeous, the colours shimmer.
Before I left for work this morning I gave the other piece a spray of Moonglow spray ink in Violet, it hasn't made any difference and sunk right in, shame I was hoping to see a nice effect when I got home from work.

Is it done? It is so beautiful. I was wondering if ever you regret putting on a layer of color and wish you would have left it the way it was.

These colors are yummy. My fave color. I too am curious as to what you would do if you regreted adding a layer of color to a piece.

as ever Carol its fantastic but I do wish everyone could see it "real" like I have, the glow of colours and texture is indescribably yummy if there is such a description!

The colours are tremendous Carol. I have been very impressed by your work and as I am only just getting back into all things creative I have been inspired by some of your pieces. The sewing case is an excellent use of bondwebbed velvet I must seek out by samples!
Can you tell me how to organise a link to my flickr account I have failed miserably so far!

lovely effects!. You mention the interference medium in gold which I hadn't realised existed but have just been given one in blue. Only had a little play so far on dark felt...it really does glow!
mmm.. what will you do with it next?
