Colourwash Update

I thought I would show you the newest version of my colourwash piece, I stitched it in my sketchbook and the page was open, I picked up the Eggplant colourwash and as I took the cap off, it splattered over the table, one drop hit my fabric right on the spiral line, , so I decided I would colour the whole line to match, but I did not like the stark contrast in the middle, so thought what the heck, and sprayed the whole lot again, when it dried it was very dark, did contemplate giving it the bleach treatment, but too much silk in it, I wasn't looking for disintigration.
As I had not heat set the work I plonked it in a bowl of water and kept rinsing and this is the result, very soft subtle colour change, I like this better than the original, this picture is near enough to the colours.
Right off to mix the Walnut Ink.

I keep scrolling up and down the page to see which one I prefer,no preference, they both look good - horses for courses! If only all accidents could have such a happy ending.
