Well I have been quite busy today, started by burning away the excess fabric around the stitched panel,
Once this was done I made light pencil line on the canvas roughly the shape of the fabric, then I mixed up some PVA glue, Poly-filla powder and a little water, I then painted this onto the larger canvas, making sure it left plenty of texture, waiting for it to dry is the hard bit.
As I had some fabric and PVA mix left, I burnt around this piece and then painted another canvas not as textured and then lay the fabric into the wet mix, hope it sticks, if not I can just catch it with a few stitches, had a little bit of the mix left so painted this onto a scrap of loose weave fabric,
don't know what for yet,it may just drop off when its dry.
hope to get the pictures up tonight.

Well done Carol, things are coming along nicely. You have to stick at it or you forget 'how to' with this blog thing (smile)

I love this piece already Carol - can't wait to see what else you do with it. I particularly like the way that they different colours of fabric show through when the edges are burnt away!!
