Update on recent work

I haven't blogged much lately and that is because the things I have been working on have been for my articles in the new on-line magazine Fibre & Stitch
now that issue 1 is out I can show you my finished articles, the bag and wall hanging are both made with Lutradur, scrim, lace, layers of paint and stitch, the nature of the Lutradur makes the resulting fabric look like aged leather and has a lovely soft feel to it.
Marion ofArtmixter and Dijanne of Musings of a textile itinerant have produced a useful worksheet on using Lutradur, for a free copy e-mail lutradur@tiscali.co.uk

Below this sketchbook is made from Pelmet Vilene,Scrim, UTEE and machine stitch with simple stitched signatures,

Hi!
Thanks for your comments on my blog but even more for the tip on how to acquire more information about lutradur. I've only ever seen it in person once....Barbara Lee Smith's exhibition last year in Birmingham. It was so interesting. I've now seen all these other marvelous images on-line using lutradur in other ways. I've been curious and now you've provided the information to learn even more. Thanks!

By the way, your work is just great...a real inspiration and one of the reasons I'll email for the sheet of info from Lutradur! Great work....as always!
Susan
