Having a ball

Well, the last two days I have had a great time organising my fabrics, arranged them all in colour order rather than type. I used to hunt everywhere for matching fabrics, hopefully this will keep me more organised,Ha
I have even thrown some away, okay they were only teeny tiny scraps, but its a start.
another little pile is going for recycle.
BUT, this morning I painted papers, I am on a high and if I had a room the size of a barn. I would be still painting.
The book that Lynda (Purple Missus)
made for me, based on Traci Bautista's books, set my mind racing, I had just bought Traci's book 'Collage Unleashed' and loved it, and being able to hold Lynda's book made it fall into place,
I have mixed up some Dylon cold water dyes, which I always use for colouring my pages, cheaper than ink, and gathered embossed wallpapers, and kitchen roll, but decided today I was in Metallic mood, tried watering down my Paint Magic ( Jocasta Innes) metallic's, but the paint is such a thick consistency even watered down the paper towel wouldn't absorb the paint, so decided to paint, scrape, splash and dab my paint onto white and black papers, I covered both sides, and the photo's don't show the subtleties of all the colours, I used silver, gold, copper, zinc, and ice blue. now they are all dry, I am going t collect some fabrics for this afternoon, paint them ready for the stamping and printing.
I wish I could lock myself in my room for a week.

I'm so pleased it got you as fired up as it did me. Isn't it a wonderful feeling? Some of those papers look fantastic. I love the ones that look like rust. Can't wait to see what the cover is going to look like. This is so exciting.

I have visions of you locked in a room somewhere with a sign on the door "Mad Crafter at Work". The papers are awesome Carol.

I just got that book too Carol - see what you've started Lynda! I am reading through it now and wishing I had more time / energy / space to do some painting. I have got a few bits out though to start colouring my sketchbook! Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

Just looking at your pile of fabrics is quite exciting for anyone who has the 'bug'.

Great papers, Carol. I am feeling a little uninspired at the moment. Do you think you and Lynda could send a little mojo magic my way.:-)
