On the group Fiberartfriends, we are experimenting with paper and fabric, some of the other girls have been doing some paper casting, so I dug out my water soluble paper, I bought a sheet while on a Maggie Gray course at least 5 years ago , and I don't think its been out of the bag since, I even found a small piece stamped with glass paint that was done that weekend, oops
I placed the paper over a wooden Indian stamp,and gently dabbed it with a damp paintbrush, while it was on the stamp drying I decided to spray it with my Moonglow spray, and went off to do something else, had visions of going back in the room to see it disintegrated, but I was lucky, it was still there, I rubbed it over with Black Rub n Buff, and then Goldfinger, looks nice and aged.
This picture shows a scan of the paper, and the parts that look raised are actually indentations, so it is the ridges that are raised.

Ooh yes, now this is my sort of thing. I haven't tried this technique before. How strong is the paper on its own? Would it need to be backed with something if you were going to use it to make a vessel or wall hanging? I can see you doing things with this one Carol.

I have some of that paper somewhere too Carol, I would have imagined it dissolving when you added the water too. I will have to have a go. It looks lovely. that moonglow is calling my name too! Is it sold locally?
