On Thursday, I went along to our Embroiderer's Guild members day, this is where members can just come along and either do their own thing, or get involved with the demonstration that is shown by one of the members, its a nice way of getting to know other members as when we go to the evening meetings we don't get chance for a good natter as the guest speaker takes up most of the time.
This week the demo was trapping leaves and petals between soluble fabric and free machining all around the shapes and then free motion all over the soluble, lovely effect once its washed away, sweet papers or sheers can alsobe used to create an interesting effect.
I had done this before, so I took along my painted papers and sat hand stitching (in between chatting) the base for some postcards, this is a card I made along the same lines, Ijust need to add the finishing touches to the ones I started on Thursday.
